Although designed specifically address the needed of Black children, all are welcome.

Last school year, approximately 260 students attended Noble Academy with 90 percent of the student body being African American.

Reducing investment in schools also has long-term economic consequences

Established November 13, 2004, Nzuko Ndi Igbo of Northeast Ohio (NNINO) is a nonprofit organization designed to promote Igbo culture and social business networking among members in Northeast Ohio, foster socioeconomic linkages between Igbo in Northeast Ohio, and provide educational and charitable services to the people of Northeast Ohio.

The summit also will bring together several independent school teachers and administrators who will share their stories, ideas, and best practices.

According to Sister Damita Gordon, who came up with the idea of hosting a summer camp, funding comes directly from First Bethel’s congregation. The camp runs four days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., is operated by volunteers, and is free to the students.
