Cleveland, OHIO - Dr.  Rachel Y. Talton has been named Adjunct Professor of Marketing at Case Western Reserve University's (CWRU) Weatherhead School of Management.

Dr. Talton, who received her doctorate in management from CWRU, is founder and CEO of Synergy Marketing Strategy & Research, Inc. (www.synergyloyalty.com), where she and her team of consultants analyze opportunities to build brand and organization trust, satisfaction, value perceptions and engagement in dynamic macro-level industry environments.

Weatherhead is truly a world-class exemplar of practitioner-scholarship, and I appreciate the opportunity," states Dr. Talton. "We provide the students real-life management challenges that organizations and brands face every day, then help them become strategic using rich data and smart insights to solve those challenges."

Starting in Spring Semester of 2012, Dr. Talton will teach Marketing Insights Management, an MBA-level course at the management school. The course focuses on the essential processes of marketing research studies to extract valid and useful insights for managerial action that yield attractive return on investment.

"Dr. Talton will be the lead faculty instructor for the Marketing Insights course, which she designed to challenge our MBAs to go beyond data to uncover insights into customer behavior and inspire them through real-world experiences," explains Jagdip Singh, PhD, H. Clark Ford Professor and Chair and Professor of Marketing and Policy Studies, Weatherhead School of Management. "Her involvement in Weatherhead courses is part of an initiative to integrate rigorous scholarship with cutting-edge practice in classroom experiences."
