Danielle Santiago is the author of the recent release, "Allure of the Game."

What would like for readers to take away from “Allure of the Game?”

I want them to know that there is another side to the glitzy side of selling drugs.  I want them to walk away with knowledge that there are detrimental consequences to this life style.

Tell our readers a little bit about yourself.

I'm the author of three full length novels including my latest "Allure of the Game."  I'm 32.  I am a wife and the mother of two beautiful kids Kaden, 10 and Madison, 18 Months.

How did you get started writing?

I started writing by chance while I was pregnant with my son, Kaden.  When I was pregnant with him I was going through a lot, so I began writing.  It was like therapy for me.  That became my first novel, "Little Ghetto Girl."

Describe your writing style.

My writing style is very visual.  many of my readers tell me that reading my books are like watching a movie, because they can visualize the scenes clearly.

What sets “Allure of the Game” apart from its predecessors?

The plot and story lines are more intricate.

Do you consider it your best work to date?

My second novel, "Grindin," in my opinion is my best work to date.

What would like for readers to take away from “Allure of the Game?”

I want them to know that there is another side to the glitzy side of selling drugs.  I want them to walk away with knowledge that there are detrimental consequences to this life style.

Who are you literary influences?

Karen Quiones Miller, Rosalyn McMillan, Sheneska Jackson, and Jackie Collins

What do you like to read?

Fiction novels.  Adventure, mystery, urban, and crime.

What advice do you give to authors seeking to get published?

Work on their craft and only put forth good, high quality work.  With the independent publishing the market is saturated with books.  Also, know learn the literary business, because it can be just as shady as the music business.
