CLEVELAND - On Tuesday, the Rock Hall announced an additional concert to coincide with the Induction 2012 events in April.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Bootsy Collins and the Funk Unity Band will perform at the Beachland Ballroom on Friday, April 6. Doors are at 7:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8:30 p.m. The show is sponsored by Duck brand duct tape.

Parliament Funkadelic bassist William “Bootsy” Collins is known for his star-shaped sunglasses, glittery “space bass” and charismatic demeanor. For his new concert tour, Collins has assembled P-Funk alumni Bernie Worrell, Frankie Kash Waddy and Blackbyrd McKnight as well as Razor Sharp Johnson and T.M. Stevens to form the Funk Unity Band for the 2012 Funk Unity Tour in support of his new album, Tha Funk Capitol Of The World.

This Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 27th Annual Induction Ceremony will take place in Cleveland’s Public Hall on Saturday, April 14. This will be the third time that Cleveland is hosting the event.
