A Benefit Hair & Fashion Show Presents Coach Ted Ginn Weekend

Cool, Smooth & Jazzy is proud to present Coach Ted Ginn Weekend, Hosted by the Cadillac Ranch Barroom, 200 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio.

The Cadillac Ranch Barroom will be “bucking” the weekend of Aug. 27 – 28, 2011. The festivities will begin Friday, August 26, with Teacher’s Nite Out at the McDonald’s Restaurant at East 105 and St. Clair from 3pm until 7pm. Teachers and Celebrities will serve paid patrons dinner for the evening. Partial proceeds from the dinner will go towards the Ginn Foundation and Endowment Fund.

The weekend continues on Saturday, August 27 with the Ted Ginn, Sr. Foundation and Endowment Fundraiser Brunch with Coach Ted Ginn, Sr. and Coach Jim Tressel. From 11 am until 2 pm, tickets $100.00 per person, guests will be “entranced” as they witness “The Life and Legacy of Coach Ted Ginn, Sr.”

His appearance is a testament to the respect he has for Coach Ginn and the way he feels about Cleveland.”

Coach Ginn has served as Head Football Coach of the Glenville Tarblooders since 1997.  His program, "Winning and Building a Team, Against All Odds," is nationally known.

In addition to mentoring successful former high school football players such as; Pierre Woods (NFL Buffalo Bills) and Donte Whitner (NFL Buffalo Bills), he has coached his own son, Ted Ginn, Jr. (NFL San Francisco 49’ers) to unimaginable heights. Coach Ted Ginn Sr. is the only coach in America to have nine (9) NFL players in the league.

Coach Ginn conceived and runs, the Ginn Academy, a boy’s only school that target at risk teens. It is one of the most successful public schools in Cleveland.
"I did so many things different," Ginn said to CBS News. "I did what other people didn't do. "I'm going left. Because if you're going right and it's not working, you gotta do something different."
The weekend will culminate with the Cool, Smooth & Jazzy, XIV, A Celebrity Benefit Hair & Fashion Show, on Sunday, August 28, also at the Cadillac Ranch Barroom at 6pm.

The 14^th annual celebrity benefit will feature hair fashions by Daylon’s Barber Salon, Arra Hair Salon & Spa, and Shades of Red Hair Spa. Clothing fashions will be provided by Fashions By Fowler, K&G Superstore, Diamond’s Men’s Store, Promises Bridal & Formal Wear, Cache, Jean-o-logy, Designers: Stephanie Nunn, and DruChristine Couture.

Proceeds will benefit The Ginn Foundation that is “committed to developing young people academically, socially, and spiritually in order for them to be able to succeed in school and in life."
