This week on “Basketball Wives,” we finally got to see a sweeter side of Ms. Evelyn Lozada.
Not sure if it was because of the pricey pair of shoes and long stemmed roses she received from NFL star Chad Ochocinco, or the mere fact that she is back in the saddle with an athlete. Whatever the reason, Chad Ochocinco has given watchers the opportunity to see that Evelyn is not as hard as she would like you to think. Watching this couple’s exchange via skype was like watching a teenage girl talk to the captain of the football team. Listening to their conversation, it seemed as though Ochocinco thought he was, “The stuff” – guess he hasn’t seen Evelyn’s evil side yet.
While we’re on Evelyn, we finally found out that she had her daughter when she was a teenager. Enter, Evelyn’s 17-year old daughter, who is drop-dead gorgeous – and I aint mad at her! Unfortunately, Evelyn is coping with the idea that her daughter is going off to college and they won’t be able to hang out like they used to. And I’m sure every parent can sympathize with her on this one.
For some reason, the producers felt a need to show Gloria and her fiancé Matt Barnes having a discussion about his domestic violence incident. Not sure if this was to fill time or what, but I still don’t get their purpose. At any rate, the charges for the domestic dispute were dropped and Gloria and Matt are living happily ever after – for the moment. But we well know that happily ever after never lasts too long on these shows. Gloria has also found a friend in Suzie. Seems as though they are pushing to become “besties.”
We’ll see how this friendship plays out.
The ladies are off to Madrid Spain next week and even in another country, these women cannot seem to get along. Evelyn and Tammi Roman will have an exchange of words on the sidewalk and the ladies will have their fill of Royce. More drama on the horizon!
More next week
Stay tuned …
