Sherwin-Williams spokesman Mike Conway said the movement already is under way but will take some time to complete.
The Ohio Department of Development announced it has approved a $5.8 million job-creation tax credit for Sherwin-Williams in exchange for the company bringing 110 new jobs to the city. The jobs will come from the coatings company’s business support units at its various foreign subsidiaries, which are being consolidated at Sherwin-Williams’ headquarters in Cleveland. They’ll be added to the 2,010 jobs Sherwin-Williams already maintains in Cleveland.
The tax credit will be paid out over seven years, according to the Department of Development.
Sherwin-Williams spokesman Mike Conway said the movement already is under way but will take some time to complete.
“The jobs are information technology and financial — they’re good-paying jobs,” Mr. Conway said. “We’ve already started to bring some of the jobs in to our global headquarters here, and they’ll be coming in over a three-year period.”
