CLEVELAND HEIGHTS – Fashion designer, Drue Thompson announces the opening of Dru Christine Fabrics and Design, located at 1623 Lee Road in Cleveland Heights. The store’s official grand opening will be celebrated Aug. 17th through Aug. 23rd, with a host events ‘designed’ to embrace area fashion schools, businesses and Cleveland’s rich artist community.
The week’s schedule of events will include:
Wednesday, Aug. 22nd: “Each One, Teach One” - invites students and teachers from surrounding fashion schools for live presentations and giveaways throughout the day.
Thursday, Aug. 23rd: “The Artists Way” - welcomes local fashion and interior designers, photographers, artists and those with a ‘creative mind’ to become inspired by Dru Christine Fabrics and Design.
Dru Christine Fabrics and Design will fill a void for avid sewers, local fashion designers and students. “I am truly excited to have the opportunity to combine my love of fashion through fabrics and design into this venture, “said Drue Thompson, owner of Dru Christine Fabrics and Design. “As other larger retailers moved away from specialty fabrics that catered to experienced sewers – the area’s fashion designer base – I felt there was a need for this specific customer.” In addition to selling designer fabrics, vintage textiles and notions, Dru Christine Fabrics and Design will house pieces from current collections while continuing to service her custom clientele.
