Cleveland Foodbank honors various agencies.
The Cleveland Foodbank will honor the successes of its member agencies for the meaningful work they do in the community throughout the year. More than 300 member agencies, staff, and volunteers will be present at the luncheon held at Landerhaven.
Special guest speaker, Anthony Rego, Giant Eagle Executive Officer, will discuss the importance of participating in the fight against hunger. Mr. Rego will also present a $1 million check to the Foodbank as part of Harvest for Hunger’s Check Out Hunger promotion this past spring. This money will directly benefit the agencies in the form of free food.
Recognition Award winners include:
Pantry – Chagrin Falls Park Community Center
Hot Meal Program – St. Edward’s Hunger Center
Innovative Program – May Dugan Multi-Service Center
Social Service Program – Lakewood Community Services Center
Kid’s Program – Urban Community School
Ed Worley – St. Ladislas at St. Ignatius
The Ed Worley award is named after the Cleveland Foodbank former director and founding member. The award is given to an agency that demonstrated outstanding efforts in alleviating hunger in our community and the recipient will receive a grant.
