Events starts tonight
CLEVELAND- The City of Clevelandis raising awareness and trying to fight the stigma associated with the AIDS virus. It's holding several events starting Friday night to recognize World Aids Day which is December 1st.
Here's a list of events that start Friday night inCleveland:
5:30 p.m. - Gather atClevelandCity Hall
6:00 p.m. - Dignitaries speak on the steps ofClevelandCity Hall
6:15 p.m. - Candlelight march step-off from steps ofClevelandCity Halland process toTowerCityCenter
6:30 - 7:00 p.m. - World AIDS Day Program at the Grand Staircase inTowerCityCenter
7:30 PM - 2:00 a.m. RED PARTY - Red Party in Honor of World AIDS Day at the Mean Bull Nightclub
On Saturday, Dec. 1, the following events will take place:
12:00 Midnight -TerminalToweris lit in red in recognition of World AIDS Day until
December 2nd
Noon - Memorial Event at Franklin Circle Christian Church with worship, lunch and presentations
7:00 -7:07 p.m. -TerminalTowerand all lights turn off.
Sunday, Dec. 2:
2:00 p.m. - Memorial Event at First Grace United Church of Christ,Akron(Highland Square), with dinner, HIV/STD testing
Monday, Dec. 3:
5:00 p.m. - Patient and Community Forum at CWRU, by AIDS Clinical Trials Unit, with food, info table, presentations & reception.
