Greater Abyssinia Church to hold forum about 137 shots fired Thursday

Hilton webForum to be held tonight

The Cleveland police chase that ended in the deaths of two people will be the topic of a community forum Thursday evening at Greater Abyssinia Baptist Church.

Cleveland Police Chief Michael McGrath and Safety Director Martin Flask will be there to answer questions.

"It just seems to me there are  just a great number, a multiplicity of questions that folks are in need of answers," said Pastor E. T. Caviness.

"People are disturbed about, asking why does it take 137 bullets to kill people. How do you determine when it is proper to proceed with a chase that endangers multitudinous lives?" Caviness said.

Associate Pastor Hilton Smith said there's a lot of anxiety in the community. The community forum is about healing.

The church is located at 1161 E. 105th St. in Cleveland.
