SHAKER HEIGHTS,Ohio– Sharon Anderson-Norfus was found dead on May 5, in her Oliver House apartment at3715 Warrensville Center Road. The 60-year-old woman was strangled, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office said.
A co-worker called police about 1 p.m. Saturday and said Anderson-Norfus had not come to work at theSaks Fifth Avenuestore in Beachwood. Paramedics and police went to check on her and found her body.
She lived alone and no sign of force entry to her apartment was reported. This week, new developments arose in the murder. TheShaker Heightspolice confirm they have arrested a man in connection with the murder of Sharon Anderson-Norfus. There are no charges filed at this time.
The suspect, in his 20’s, was arrested on Sunday walking downWarrensville Center Roadnear the victim's apartment. No information on theClevelandman is being released at this time because he is in the process of being interviewed.
The last couple of week’s police have been working on leads. Shaker Heights police confirm that they did return to Anderson-Norfus' apartment over the Memorial Day weekend to gather more evidence.
Most people are still in disbelief about the murder. One such person is Stacey Richardson – Crawford a very close friend to Anderson-Norfus.
“Every since the passing of my mother,Sharonhas been like a mother to me. She was such a sweet and loving person who would help anyone she could. I am in such shock behind her murder and hope the police have the right person in custody,” said Crawford. Anderson-Norfus had many friends in the entertainment and on the movie circuit.

This Saturday, June 2, at the OMNI Park Building 27801 Euclid Avenue in Euclid OH., Sharon’s friends are having “The Funky Celebration of the Life of Sharon, P-Funk style.” Everyone knew how much of a fan she was of George Clinton and the Parliament / Funkadelic. The event is from 9 p.m. – 1:30 a.m.
Sharon always said... "Don't be sad, just throw a P-Funk Party for me!" So they are going to make her wish come true!
