Murder on East side leaves 54 year old man dead.

CLEVELAND — Police are looking for a robber who became a killer.   

A Cleveland businessman is dead, killed chasing the suspects who robbed his store.

The Well’s Fashion clothing store on East 143rd and Kinsman Avenue in Cleveland remained closed Saturday. 

It is where the robbery took place and a 54-year-old man lost his life.

Cleveland police say the store was robbed just before 8 p.m. on Friday. 

The man inside chased after the suspects.  One of them turned around and shot the man. 

Mike Wynn operates the Life Style Barber Shop right next door to the Well’s Fashion store. 

He knows the man and believes he owned the store.  

“He pursued the robber.  The robber turned around and shot him in the chest.  And, he died.  It’s just sad that somebody would lose their life trying to make a living,” Wynn said.

Wynn described the man as a decent, hard-working guy who was just trying to make an honest living for himself and his family.

There are surveillance cameras mounted outside Well’s Fashion, but it is not known if they captured video of the suspects or the fatal shooting.
