Woman jumped on a husband and his wife: March 19, around midnight there was a big fight in a bar on Parsons Avenue. A 33 year old woman stabbed a man 22 and his wife 24 years of age. The couple was transported by EMS to a nearby hospital.

The woman is charged with aggravated assault.

Boy 16, shoots at man in gas station: March 19, at 4:27 p.m. on the corner of Karl Rd. and Oakland Park Ave, a 16 year old boy fired three shoots that struck the windshield of a 39 year old man’s S.U.V. Although no one was hurt, the juvenile was charged with aggravated assault.

Man doesn’t know who shot him: At approximately 5:14 a.m., on March 22, police were called to an address in the 1700 block of Elaine Avenue about a shooting. Upon arrival they found a 34 year old man who had been shot in his left calf. The man said that he didn’t know who shot him.

Man beating a woman on Watterson Avenue: On March 20, about 4:49 p.m. it was reported that a man was beating a woman in the street.

Suspicious man in hotel ballroom: On March 20, around 4:54 p.m. a man wearing a blue tee shirt and jeans was spotted upstairs inside the ballroom of a large hotel on Public Square. Within a few minutes he was caught and arrested.

13 year old boy hit in the face: Around 4:57 p.m. it was reported that some kids had hit a 13 year old boy in his face. The incident occurred near the 4100 block of Outhwaite Ave. CMHA police were also on the scene.

Damaged property on Parkwood Drive: On March 20, at 4:58 p.m. a man called and said that someone had damaged his property and he wanted to make a report.

Kid fighting with a golf club: At 5 p.m. on March 20, in the 3700 block of Seymour Avenue someone reported that there several kids were beating up a 12 year old and one of the kids had a golf club.

Daughter breaking up stuff: On March 20, around 5:18 p.m. someone called from an East 173 street address and reported that their 18 year old daughter was breaking up stuff with a baseball bat.

Pit-Bull dog running loose: On March 20, around 5:21 p.m. a call came in requesting that the APL come out and remove a pit-bull dog in the 104 block of Grandview Avenue that was running loose.

Two 911 hang-up calls: At around 5: 22 p.m. on March 20, a second 911 hang-up call was received from an address on East 143rd Street. A car was sent out to investigate.

Burglar alarm on Carnegie Avenue: On March 20, at 5:25 p.m. a burglar alarm was received from a business that had closed for the day in the 3900 block of Carnegie Avenue.

Boyfriend and girlfriend in argument: On March 20, about 5:30 p.m., it was reported that a man and his girlfriend were in an argument on Broadview Road.

Man in wheelchair rolling with a gun: Around 9:40 p.m., on March 18, a caller reported that a man in a wheelchair on Warrensville Road had a gun in his lap. Police arrived and escorted the man to his residence.

Man harassing woman on telephone: On March 18, about 11:06 p.m. a woman on Desoto Avenue called and complained about a man who keeps calling and harassing her.

A bunch of kids fighting: about 3:44 p.m., on March 18, someone called and reported that a bunch of kids were fighting at the corner of Meadowbrook and Cottage Grove Drive. When police arrived the juveniles were dispersed.

Two girls caught stealing at Wal-Mart: Around 6:56 p.m. on March 18, two juvenile females were caught shoplifting and arrested.

Brake-in on Ardmore Road: On March 18, at 9:30 p.m. it was reported that someone had broke into a house in the 3900 block of Ardmore Road.

Grown woman caught stealing: On March 18, around 6:30 p.m. a grown woman was caught stealing at a large supermarket on Lee Road, she was arrested.

Female causing a disturbance: A woman was reported as causing a disturbance at a fitness center on March 18, around 6:46 p.m.  An employee at that location settled the problem.

Man choked his girlfriend: On March 18, about 10:p.m. a woman at a Desota Avenue address called and reported that she had been choked by here boyfriend.   The matter was investigated.

Big bonfire in front yard: On March 18, at 8:45 p.m. someone on Lancashire Road called and reported that some folks were having a party and had a bonfire in the front yard. Partier’s were told to put the fire out.

Two women busted shoplifting: On March 19, security at Wal-Mart caught two adult women stealing some stuff. They were arrested and transported to CHPD.

Unwanted guest needed to Leave: On March 19, police were called to an address around 3:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of Lee Road were a complainant needed an unwanted guest removed because they were causing a disturbance.

University Heights 

Man charged with urinating in public: On March 17, around 6:44 p.m., a man was spotted peeing in the bushes by an employee of a business on Warrensville Road.

The man was later found, identified and charged with disorderly conduct and cited for urinating in public.

Two girls caught detagging cloths: Around 6:18 p.m. on March 18, Target security caught two girls removing tags from cloths and stuffing items into their purse.

The girls then left the store but were stopped.

Charged with underage drinking: Around 11:30 p.m., on March 18, about 7 or 8 underage college kids were sitting on the sidewalk drinking from silver and blue cans. Police established that it was beer. The students were charged with underage drinking.

Made so much noise they couldn’t hear police knocking: On March 20, about 1:19 a.m. it was reported some people on Warrensville Road was partying and playing their music way too loud. When police arrived, they could not get in because the people couldn’t hear them knocking. Police finally got in and turned the music off and charged the people with disturbing and unnecessary noise.


Car broken into in owner’s driveway: On March 20, at 7:41 p.m. a man on Dysart Road called and said that his car had been broken into and someone had stolen his radar detector, a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses and his GPS.

Police brakes up loud party: At 1:04 a.m., on March 20, a woman called and complained that about 30 or 40 people were having a loud party in a house on Renford Road. There was drinking, and some of them were underage. Police arrived and broke up the party.
