The bandit demand cash from the clerk, in which the employee complied. The robber left the store running and ducked into an apartment building behind the gas station.

Cleveland Heights

Woman reports, “this man is trying to kill me”: On May 19, at around 12:05 a.m., a frantic female in the 3300 block of Desota Avenue, called and reported that a man she knows, is trying to kill her. Units were sent to investigate the matter and the bruised woman was taken to an area hospital and treated for a dislocated shoulder. Police are looking for the perpetrator, who was, GOA/UTL.

A man is sleep on the sidewalk: On May 19, at 2:03 p.m., somebody called from an address in the 1400 block of Maple Road and reported that there was man sleep on the sidewalk. A unit was sent out to investigate.

Daddy takes snake away from son: Around 6:30 p.m., on May 19, a woman on E. Overlook Road, called and reported that her husband and their son were in a big hullabaloo because the daddy had taken the boy’s snake away from him.

Locked out woman, wants to get her stuff back: On May 19, at 12: 12 in the morning, a woman called police and reported that the people in a house on Noble Road were refusing to let her in to get her stuff out of that house. A car arrived and escorted the woman in who retrieve her belongings/personal property.

Police make man who peed in hallway clean it up: At approximately 10:49 p.m., on May 19, a call was received from a resident who lives in an apartment building on Noble Road, reported that a man had just stood in the hallway and urinated on the floor. When police arrived the man was advised and made to clean up the pee.

Alarm signaled that somebody is in the bathroom: On May 20, around 6:53 a.m., an alert was received from alarm monitoring company that the motion detector in the bathroom of a house on Shannon Road had been activated by someone who was in the bathroom. A car was sent out to investigate.

5 women slugging it out in parking lot: On May 20, about 8:10 a.m., an employee of the USA Gas Station on Noble Road, called and reported there were 5 women in the parking lot fist fighting. No weapons were seen. Units responded to that location.

Thief steals the all the copper out a house: On May 20, at about 3 p.m., there was a call from a person who reported that all the copper plumbing had been taken out of a house in the 1000 block of Greyton Road. The matter in being investigated.

Truck from Granny’s Attic taking out furniture: On May 20, at about 4:32 p.m., a caller in the 2300 section of Queenston Road reported that there were two men in a big O’ truck with “Granny’s Attic” written on the side, removing furniture from the house next door. The caller was not sure if they have permission?

Some kids cussed out a grown man: On May 20, at about 4:32 p.m., a person in the 3800 block of Washington Blvd reported that a bunch of kids walking down the street had cussed out a grown man. The kids are near Coventry Road and they were still walking and using strong profanity.

“My 2 stepdaughters are causing a problem”: On May 20, at about 9:20 a.m., a caller from the 2600 block of Noble Road reported that the two stepdaughters were there and were fighting and causing a problem. The daughters were charged with domestic violence.

Woman walking in street angers motorist: On May 20, about 9:51 p.m., an agitated  

Motorist called and reported that a woman was walking in the street near Cedar and Lee Road with a baby stroller and was obstructing traffic. When police arrived the woman was GOA/UTL

Car stolen from Best Kept Secret lot: On May 21, at approximately 2:50 in the morning, woman’s car was stolen from the back parking lot of the Best Kept Secret Lounge on Taylor Road.

Big O’ Pit Bull running lose: Around 1:52 p.m., a concerned motorist on Ashton Road and Fairmount Blvd. reported that there is a big O’ Pit Bull dog running lose in that area and it just ran down Ashton Road. Animal control was sent out right away

Baby’s daddy is causing trouble: On May 21, around 3:19 p.m., a woman called from an apartment in the 2300 section of Noble Road, and reported that her baby’s father is there causing a fracas and making trouble.

Couple fighting over a cell phone: On May 21, at 4:14 p.m. a caller reported that there had been a verbal confrontation which led to a fight between a couple about a cell phone near Mayfield and Taylor Road. Police arrived and settled the dispute between a Ms. Hicks and Brandon.

Landlord won’t let tenant wash clothes: On May 21, about 4:53 p.m., an angry tenant in a house on Edgewood Road, called and reported that her landlord was refusing to allow her wash clothes in the laundry room, which is part of the lease agreement.

The landlord refuted, stating that the woman is trespassing and doesn’t even have a lease.

Woman heard a strange noise: On May 21, around 11:17 p.m., a woman in the 3200 block of Desota Avenue, called and reported that she had heard a strange noise and wanted the police to check it out. The police checked it out, hummmm!

University Heights

Small boy beats bully with big stick: On May 18, around 3:44 p.m., a call came from the University Heights library on Cedar Road, about bunch of kids from a near-by middle school who had gathered out front watching a fight between a bigger boy beating up a smaller boy. The caller stated that the bigger boy had bullied the smaller kid, and the smaller boy picked up a big stick and began beating the bully. Police took both boys to their parents

Man wearing black hoodie kicked in door: On May 19, around 11:59 a.m., a woman watching from an upstairs window in the 4000 block of Silsby Road, called and reported that she had just seen a man wearing a black hoodie walk up the driveway and kick in the side door of the vacant house next door. Police arrived and found the house had been entered by force causing extensive damage.

Thief tried to steal jewelry hiding it in his cap: On May 21, around 8:37 p.m., Target security busted a thief who first went to the men’s department took a cap and removed the tags. The 23 year old man, then went to the jewelry counter were he removed the tags and placed 2 necklaces’ in the cap which he put under his arm. Security busted the rogue as he walked out off the store. Target will prosecute.

Niece’s dog bites auntie’s legs: On May 22, at around 5; 53 p.m., a call was received from an address on Milton Road, to send the police and EMS, because a woman’s auntie who stopped in to visit had been bit on both legs by the niece’s Bichon dog. Wrenched with anger, the auntie was taken to a nearby hospital, her punchers treated and she was released.

Woman car towed with permission to park: On May 22, at 2:57 in the morning, a woman called and asked UHPD if she could park her car on the street. The dispatcher gave the woman permission and then recognized that the license plate belonging to that car was on their traffic violation list and was out to be towed. The car was towed.
