Second New Hope Baptist Church is proud to present its first Back to School Youth Gospel Explosion on Friday (9/28/2012) at 7 p.m. S.W.A.P – Singing With A Purpose and Intercessory Prayers – is the theme of this event to be held at 2917 East 116th Street, hosted by Minister Aaron King and musician Lacretia T. Bolden. Located in the Buckeye community, theSecondNew HopeBaptistChurch strives to be a blessing in the community through its various programs. The goal of this event is to bless and inspire our youth. “Our youth are faced with daily challenges and uncertainty at school, at home, and in their communities. We believe it is crucial to reach out to our youth through prayer and praise,” said Janice Moultrie, director of Christian Education. All are welcome as this event that promises to be inspirational and uplifting.

Beth-El African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church will open its doors to the community during a weekend of events culminating (10/5/2012) thru (10/7/2012) at1428 East 110th Street,Cleveland,Ohio, Rev. Curtis T. Walker, pastor.  The theme for the weekend is, ‘School Bullying: What can the church do?’ The kick off program “Bible Academic Challenge” for the entire family will be held on Friday evening, (10/5/2012) from 7 to 10 p.m.; The “Block Festival” with indoors and outdoors activities, a guest speaker talking about the “cause and effects” of school bullying, praise dancing, health and safety navigational information, food, and prizes will be held on on Saturday, (10/6/12) from noon to 5 p.m.; and a Sunrise Continental Breakfast followed by a five member panel discussion on the theme will be Sunday morning (10/7/2012). Balm in Gilead Missionary Baptist Church is celebrating their 16th Anniversary Friday (10/12/2012) at 7 p.m. with a banquet at Redeemer on the Avenue, 15901 St. Clair, with Minister Eugene Griggs as the guest speaker.
