Browns offensive lineman Joe Thomas, along with his wife, Annie, will be visiting the Kids In Need Resource Center, which provides free school supplies to teachers in underprivileged schools in Northeast Ohio. The Thomas’ will meet with 10 Cleveland-area teachers and “shop” with them through their new back to school effort, which follows up to a personal financial contribution they made directly to the Kids In Need Resource Center to help raise their profile. Other current players are also expected to participate as well. The center is part of a national network of 25 resource centers that helps teachers from schools with high poverty rates per enrollment. The Kids in Need Resource Center is open for teacher “shopping” three days a week September through May. Typically, 10 to 15 schools “shop” at the center each week.
