The sides have seemed close before, only for the talks to break down. It was the system issues earlier this month, followed by the split last week after three days of mediation.

Silver said last week it was "unclear" to him whether an 82-game schedule was still possible. The league could try to reschedule the lost games if a deal can be reached soon.

Players proposed lowering their guarantee of basketball-related income to 52.5 percent, leaving the sides about $100 million apart annually based on last season's revenues.

Though the sides have said they believe bargaining is the only route to a deal, the process could end up in the courts.

Player contract lengths, luxury tax payments and the use of spending exceptions are among the other big items remaining.

Pryor was selected by the Raiders in the third round of the supplemental draft Aug. 22.
