The Browns made a few moves this week in order to get down to their 75- man roster that is mandated by the league for the 2013-2014 NFL season.

They added two players that were claimed off of waivers on Tuesday and they had to move nine players off of the active list in order to get down to the magic number.

They claimed former San Francisco 49er’s punter, Colton Schmidt and outside linebacker, Paul Hazel, from the Jacksonville Jaguars on Tuesday adding to the moves that ultimately led to them reaching their goal of retaining just 75 men.

The Browns waived tight end, Travis Tannehill, offensive lineman, Dominic Alford, wide receiver, Dominique Croom, offensive lineman, Nicholas Jean-Baptiste, offensive lineman, Ryan Miller, fullback, Owen Marecic and linebacker, Kendrick Adams.

Often injured running back, Montario Hardesty, will miss the entire regular season as management deemed it necessary to place him on the injured reserve list. This may very well spell the end of Hardesty as a member of the Cleveland Browns. Injuries have felled him ever since becoming a member of the team.

His contract expires at the end of the season and it is rather unlikely that the Browns will be willing to deal with the injures that have plagued the powerful running back.

The Browns also placed offensive lineman, Chris Faulk, on the reserve/non-football injury list
