The Cleveland Baptist Minister’s Wives and Minister’s Widows held a Pink Fellowship Luncheon this past Saturday, July 30, 2011, at the Mediterranean Party Center with special keynote speaker Danita Harris-Pratt.

Liz Farr is the president of the Cleveland Chapter and Marcella Caffie and Evelyn Wright serve as the chairs for this great event that had visitors from all around the state of Ohio who came to support the Cleveland Chapter.

Mostly everyone in the place wore pink outfits and their best Sunday hats.

Mrs. Zephrine Burks gave a hearty welcome before Kathy Johnson provided a response to the welcome. Ruth Mosley recognized all the out of town guests and Reverend Stephen Sullivan did the invocation.

Mrs. Altha Brown sung a solo and Heather Johnson introduced the speaker.

Harris-Pratt spoke about taking Goliath down. Her sermon rang loud and clear throughout the party center that suddenly transformed into a sanctuary of praise.

When Harris-Pratt finished, many was running, dancing, and praising God as they too where dealing with some giants in their life. Many who watch Harris on TV5 news are not aware of her gift of expounding the love she has for God.

The Reverend Michael Turner came up and sang before opening the doors of the church. Closing remarks came from the State President Willie Mae Brown and Marcella Caffie and Liz Farr.

The Reverend Dr. Rebecca Stitt gave the benediction.

Danny Mac and Company provided the music.

The Ministers Wives and Widows is a group coming together in the Spirit of Christ, providing prayerful support to one another, lifting up corporate prayer for their pastor and his family, the ministerial staff, their husbands and their ministries, and their family unit.

The group provides spiritual leadership and guidance for all ministers’ wives and widows, accepting the call to visit the sick, shut in, and the support of the total ministry that God has ordained for all believers and followers of Christ.

Maintaining unity, peace, and love for all striving to demonstrate the Christ-like Spirit as ministers, wives, widows and women of good.

I am sure if you ever attend one of their events, you will be blessed as well.
