The American Heart Association presents a Party on the Porch on September 6, from 3:00 pm – 6:00pm at 1689 E. 115th Street (next door to Starbucks). Come enjoy the fun.

Dollar General Celebrates New Store Opening with Free Giveaways

Dollar General will celebrate the opening of its new location at 3785 Lee Road in Cleveland this Saturday, September 7 at 8 a.m. with free prizes and special deals. Dollar General will offer Cleveland residents a convenient new place to shop for everyday essential at low prices. Additionally, the first 50 shoppers at the store will receive a $10 Dollar General gift card and the first 200 shoppers will receive a Dollar General tote bag, among other giveaways.

Community Block Party

Fatima Family Center is hosting a community block party on Thursday, September 12th from

4pm- 8pm at 6600 Lexington Avenue. Fatima is celebrating 40 years of faith, family, friends and community service. Free tickets are available at the Center.

John Hay Alumni Association Annual Ball

Ninth Annual Scholarship Fundraiser

John Adams Black Heritage Alumni present JABHA Jazz Jam IX on Sunday, September 22, from 4 pm – 8 pm, at Terry Macklin Entertainment Center located at 6200 Enterprise Parkway, Solon, Ohio. The Alabama Civil Rights Trail – 50 years later

Another Historical Journey will sponsor a dual city historic journey from the Freedom Riders to the Montgomery Bus Boycott to the 16th Baptist Church. The tour will take place from September 12 – 16, 2013. It will also include a tour of the Rosa Parks Museum, the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church and the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute.
