The Cleveland Browns fans were smiling when it came time for their team to pick Sammy Watkins who would have made a great combination with Josh Gordon, but instead picked 8 and got a defensive back named Justin Gilbert. Many fans did not want them to pick a quarterback in the 4th slot anyway.
Trading their spot may have hurt us now, but I guess the Browns are thinking of the future...this how it plays out from the trade.
The Browns will now have two first-rounders in 2015, and already an extra fourth-rounder in 2015. On top of that, they only had to move down five spots in this year's draft, where they can still get a very high quality player. And they still have No. 26 overall.
have seen plenty of purported saviors come and go – but never one quite like Johnny Football. Perhaps even more important, the NFL's most tormented franchise finally might be ready for saving.
Trading up to draft Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel with the 22nd overall pick Thursday night didn't just give the Browns the draft's most unique playmaker. It may have added the piece they need to be the most unlikely team in the 2014 playoff field.
Yes, the Browns, who haven't won more than five games in a season since 2007. The Browns, who are on their third head coach in three seasons and a new General Manager must put up or shut up this year. Why was so much put into Johnny Football? we have 5 quarterbacks now. Did they get Vince Young to carry Hoyer's water?

My friend Yvonne broke down last nights draft like this...moved out of 4th for 9th. Added 1st & 4th 2015 round picks for great position next year. Moved up to 8th pick for wait for it best CB in the draft. Gave up 5th for compensation. Then moved up for 3rd round pick and grabbed, Johnny Football (laughing) period end of story.
