Matt Rexroad arrested for DUI and driving the wrong way causing an accident: On Aug. 17, shortly after midnight, officers were dispatched to an accident at Broadway and East South Street. When they arrived they observed two vehicles with heavy front-end damage. They also called for two tow trucks. They could see that one of the drivers was drunk as a skunk. Mr. Matthew Rexroad had caused the accident because he was traveling in the wrong direction and struck Ms. Braucher’s car. Matt admitted that he had been over his girlfriend and they went out drinking but he only had two shots. He smelled just like a whisky mill and his speech was slurred with blood shot eyes. He was arrested for OVI and transported to the fifth district. Somebody should tell Matt to get some help.
Nickie said Lawrence pulled her to the ground by her hair and choked her: On Aug. 23 around 5:40 a.m., officers went to the Akron General ER about an assault on a 22-year-old woman named Nickie Stricker. Nickie stated she was hanging out at her sister's house on Kenmore Boulevard when she saw her ex boyfriend Lawrence walking up the street. Lawrence asked if she would walk with him. Nickie said Lawrence knew she got paid that day, and asked her for twenty dollars. She told him she had bills to pay, and couldn't give him money. She said that dude got so mad that he pulled her to the ground by her hair and got on top of her and started choking her. Officers observe marks around Nickie's neck but she was unable to provide any more information about her alleged ex boyfriend, because she did know his last name. Uh, what?
Nett said Ronetta walk around bullying folks and she was tiered of her mouth: On Aug. 20 around 11:03 a.m., officers were dispatched to a house in the 1200 block of Brownstone Avenue, after the front desk employee called and reported that two tenants were fighting in the lobby. The fight was between two women, one named Ronetta Tatum age 46 who’s about 236 pounds and another woman, 51, Annette Moreland. Tatum said she got into an argument with Moreland after seeing Moreland hassling another female tenant about some money. Tatum stated that Moreland spit on the chair she had been sitting on and then swung keys at her. Tatum said the keys struck her below her left eye. Cops found Moreland in her apartment dead drunk. She had been drinking with Tatum when they started fighting but did not know why they just started punching each other. Officers said they could not determine who did what because both women had told different lies about how the fight stared. No one was arrested.
Holding a dude they caught stealing at Home Depot in Steelyard Common: GOT-CHU! I’m sure the thief felt the pinch as the undercover security officer grabbed his arm and told him “let’s go.” On Aug. 26, around 12:48 p.m., a call was received from the lost prevention office at the Home Depot in Steel yard Commons in the flats requesting a car be sent out to pick up a crook they caught stealing. A unit accepted the call and headed to pick up sticky fingers.
