Police fear missing 14-year old girl may be in danger

Santina McDade

As most Americans are preparing to celebrate the Fourth of July, a time reserved for fireworks and barbecues, the family of 14-year old Santina McDade will be hoping and praying for her safe return.

McDade was last seen on Monday July 1 at a local convenient store on 16200 block of St. Clair Avenue in the South Colinwood neighborhood on the East Side around 4:40 p.m.

According to a friend of the teen the two willingly got into a gray Infiniti QX50, but the friend says she exited the vehicle when she learned the man was driving to Canton or Akron.

Police initially suspected McDade might have been kidnapped, but the friend who is also a teenage girl told police they voluntarily got into the male’s vehicle.

Police were called to the location, but as of Tuesday July 2, McDade had not returned.

Photos of the man and the teen have been released by law enforcement, that depict the man in his girl as well as images of McDade.

Police are concerned and suspect McDade may be in danger.

Anyone with information on her location is asked to call police at 216-664-4477.
