Two Children Among Quadruple Homicide Victims
“Only a monster could do that…”

Two children ages 2 and 6 were among the four people slain in Slavic Village when a distraught 26-year old felon shot his former girlfriend and a man multiple times in a heinous act that sent shock waves through the Cleveland community last week.
Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson and Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams both offered their condolence to the families of the victims in statements submitted exclusively to the Call & Post.
“I want to first offer my condolences to the families of the victims in this tragedy. We can see by the outpouring of the community how this has affected everyone, and so we also want to offer our condolences to the community at large,” stated Mayor Jackson
“We offer our condolences to the families of the victims and to those in this community –we know this is a difficult time. I want to thank our community for coming out and for making sure everything stayed peaceful around the neighborhood over the past few days. The Cleveland Division of Police and all our safety partners who helped us find a resolution within 48 hours of the incident, are all grateful to the community for their help,” added Chief Williams.
Police discovered the victims Takeyra Collins, 25; Armond Johnson, Jr., 6; and Aubree Stone, 2 on July 9th inside their home, which is located behind David Cousin; Jr., 35, on the same property.
The body of Cousin, a neighbor was found at about 8 a.m., in a field next to his home on East 63rd Street. Cousin and Collins were shot multiple times and the children succumbed from smoke inhalation, according to The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner.
The suspect reportedly attempted to set fire to the crime scene location where the children were found.
Armond Johnson Sr., 26, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for a March robbery, shortly after he arrived at the scene of the murders on East 63rd.
On July 12, Johnson was charged with aggravated murder and plead not guilty, but is held on a $5 million bond.
Multiple sources revealed cell phone records that connected Johnson to the crime scene.
Sources also say they believe Johnson used Collins' phone at the crime scene to send a misleading text to others, disguising it to appear someone else was responsible for the crimes.
According to police and multiple news reports, Johnson and the deceased Collins were parents of the dead 6-year old boy.
Johnson possessed a criminal history that included domestic violence, felonious assault and robbery. He was reportedly released from custody in March and resumed his relationship with Collins, but the couple recently broke up again, according to reports.
Family, friends and members of the community gathered together for a vigil at corner of East 63rd Street and Fleet Avenue last weekend.
"Only a monster could do that, only a person that has no regard for human life, especially for a baby, could do something that extreme," said Jeanetta Price, a family friend of Takeyra Collins.
