Mayor Bibb makes his case for a second bid to be the Mayor of the City Of Cleveland.

A group of community members organized a fundraiser to help Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb secure a second term as Mayor of the City Of Cleveland. Mayor Bibb, laid out his plan for the communities of the City Of Cleveland in a second term. 

There were remarks from, Brian Siggers about the Mayor’s accomplishments over the past four years. Accomplishments such as, Raising Investment in Safety for Everyone (RISE) & Crime Reductio, RISE Initiative boosted police recruitment—2024’s academy class of 52 cadets was larger than the previous four combined. Homicides dropped significantly: ~26% in 2024, and by 46% total across his term; police pay rose by 34%, and Cleveland’s Crime Gun Intelligence Center achieved a 90% solve rate for recent homicides., “A Home for Every Neighbor” – Rehousing Program,  Rapidly housed over 100 chronically homeless residentsand advanced an affordable housing fund expected to reach $100 million. Cleveland Housing Investment Fund (CHIF), Launched in October 2024, with an initial $18 million city investment matched by $20 million from KeyBank, aiming to grow the fund to $100 million to bolster affordable housing. “Residents First” & Housing Code Enforcement, Introduced in September 2023, the Residents First plan tightens building and fire codes, targets predatory landlords, and addresses vacant properties. 

“When we see them cutting Medicaid, we are going to stand in the gap in the City Of Cleveland. I do this for the city that raised me and I need four more years to finish the job, said Mayor Bibb.
