WE MUST VOTE THIS NOVEMBER 4 — OUR FUTURE DEPENDS ON IT

Min. Dale Edwards, Executive Director — Call & Post

On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, Ohioans — especially in Black communities and across the Midwest — will have more than a chance to cast a ballot. This election is a turning point for our neighborhoods, our schools, our safety and our very voice in society.
Our Rights Are On The Line
The statewide general election is not just about high-profile contests. Voters will decide on city council members, school boards, local levies and key ballot issues that affect daily life. If we stay home? Someone else will write our future.

What’s At Stake
Local Leadership: Elected officials this year will determine everything from housing policy, zoning decisions, school funding and neighborhood resources.

Ballot Questions & Levies: Many communities face proposals for bonds, taxes, and public services that impact school buildings, public safety and infrastructure.

Access & Power: Voting access is still challenged. Voter registration deadlines are set and early voting is wrapping up.

Why It Matters For Us
When we believe “it doesn’t matter,” others will decide for us. When we don’t show up, we lose the chance to hold officials accountable. When we skip the levy votes, school doors may close, parks might go unused, services may shrink. The stakes are not remote — they are right here in our communities.

The Time To Act Is Now
Check your registration. Deadline may already be past in some counties.

Know your polling place, hours (6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. in many Ohio counties) and what ID you need.

If you can vote early, don’t wait. The time is limited.

Talk to your family, friends and neighbors. Remind them: this is our destiny.

Our Collective Power
When thousands of our voices rise together on November 4, we shift the balance. When we stay home, we give up our leverage. It’s that clear. It’s that critical.

Bottom Line: Voting isn’t just a right—it’s a responsibility. For our children, our streets, our schools and our freedom. On November 4, make your mark. Make it count. Because if you don’t, someone else will.
