A Merry Christmas story.

On Saturday, December 20, Billy Sharp OmniMedia (BSOM) teamed up with Mount Gillion Missionary Baptist Church to host its seventh annual Toys for Tots Giveaway. There were a lot of happy smiles as children who were picked by an arbitrary number received a bike for Christmas. The organization decided if a child Was identified as number 15 and had siblings that attended the event with them that were in the designated age bracket also received a bike as well. The organization had some big help this year, Molio Bella Charity Car Show and  the Black Environmental Leaders Association who stepped up this year and purchased bikes for the giveaway. “We do this for the children”, said Billy Sharp, the event’s organizer.

BSOM had an additional task this year in that the Marines were not able to raise as many toys as years past because of the government shut down and the Terrace organizations were not able to donate as much as they usually do in years past. BSOM stepped up and bought toys to help supplement the program this year. The organization in partnership with some other toys for tots programs around the city is looking towards a self sustained model for 2026. This year‘s program was able to service 400 children, and they are looking forward to next year!
